My 3-year daughter wanted to exercise this past Saturday morning. I usually walk on the treadmill on Saturdays, and walking relaxes me. I had a big presentation at my first church that day. So, I wanted to walk on the treadmill for 60 minutes, and that idea was quickly fading away as I was cleaning our house and getting our children prepared for their day. I can do for everyone else and leave myself last.
Our daughter has taken an interest in exercising. Every time I put a P90 CD in or right before bedtime, she tells me she is ready to exercise. On Saturday, when our daughter said “Mom I want to exercise.” I knew she wanted me to put in one of the P90 CDs. I briefly thought that I did not have enough time until I realized that one of my P90 CD’s ( Tim Horton Fitness), is a Saturday morning exercise that is approximately 25 minutes in length. I had 35 minutes to spare before I would start getting ready for my morning Diabetes Presentation.
I was so thankful for our daughter reminding me of one of my favorite truths. There is always a way to get something done. I enjoyed watching both our daughter and son imitating some of the moves, honoring the body with physical activity, and spending some quality family time before my Diabetes Presentation. Overall, Saturday was a great day!!!
